Nammalwar & Master Clock
My post content

This video is in Tamil but a lot of visuals are used that may help you understand a little bit of it.
He quotes Nammazhvar / Nammalvar.
"Nammalvar (Tamil: நம்மாழ்வார், lit. 'Our Alvar'; IAST Nammāḻvār) was one of the twelve Alvar saints of Tamil Nadu, India, who are known for their affiliation to the Vaishnava tradition of Hinduism. The verses of the Alvars are compiled as the Naalayira Divya Prabandham, where praises are sung of 108 temples that are classified as divine realms, called the Divya Desams. Nammalvar is considered to be the fifth in the line of the twelve Alvars. He is highly regarded as a great mystic of the Vaishnava tradition. He is also considered to be the foremost among the twelve Alvars, and his contributions amount to 1352 among the 4000 stanzas in the Naalayira Divya Prabandam." (Wikipedia)
He also gives an example of a dog that has strayed out of the house and is being hurt by others who throw stones at him. He says, If I ask him to stop it they won't listen. They will ask, is it your dog? Why are you bothered? Why should we listen to you? and so on. But if the owner comes there he can do something about it including take legal action.
In the same way Nammalwar asks God to be his owner and requests him to take care of him and save him from the worldly and other tormentors. If we can surrender our individuality to God and request him to be the Master clock that coordinates our movements he can save us. This is the message of the video.
The person speaking believes in a particular God and he feels he is the slave of that God. There are Gods at different levels and you can choose who you want to consider as your Master. It is your decision ad you decide in whose hand you want to entrust your protection. At all levels the same amount of devotion, surrender and acceptance of the God's will are the required eligibility to be accepted and enrolled. So take your time and choose wisely.
And whatever your choice maybe, nothing much is lost because you have innumerable lives to correct your mistakes and come to the right path.
