RADHASOAMI
Sant Satgurus of Radhasoami Faith
Nowadays it has become a fashion to call anyone by the name of Sant. Especially, anyone who dons saffron clothes is called a Sant and is accepted as one. Those who deliver religious discourses and have lakhs of followers are also taken for granted as Sants. A large group is attracted by miracles and because of this there are people who walk on fire, who stay in water for hours together, who dig holes, stay underground for two-three hours by their Yogic power and come out alive, who make things such as watch, fruit or golden ornaments appear out of their long hair or from the air, who make red powder appear in their palm, who light up a candle by staring at it, who make weak minded people follow them blindly through Vashikaran, that is hypnotism and other inferior practices and these crooked, crafty people are also considered as Sant. Because of this, in this Kaliyug people who have gone astray, feel more lost. They get caught in the Chaurasi ki Chakkar, the vicious circle of 84 types of births. They can’t find the true path of real devotion.
The work of Sadh, Mahatma, Sant and Param Sant is to show the real path. Sant and Param Sant gracefully appear on this earth and attract eligible Bhakts (those who harbour a sincere desire to earn true salvation) into their satsang. Many true Bhakts, Sadhs, Mahatmas as well as ordinary worldly people are attracted to such satsangs. According to the Mauj (divine will and plan) of Sants, all types of human beings come together in satsang and increase their eligibility. Ordinary worldly minded people turn into Bhakts if they get to attend satsang, Sadh level people become Mahatmas and Mahatmas become Sants. The satsang of Sants is Paras, (philosopher’s stone capable of turning base metal into gold). In their Darbar (august court) there are no obviously visible rules. Yet in the Sant Darbar the subtle observers can experience prem (love), devotion, respect and anurag (eternal love). By Mauj, Sant can turn iron into gold. They can grant Sadh or Mahatma level to an ordinary person. The greatness of the Satsang of a Sant is boundless.
Special grace and mercy was bestowed upon the earth and that is the time when Radhasoami Dayal incarnated in human form. This period is blessed and this time is an occasion for grand celebration. Rama and Krishna, the incarnations of Brahma were accepted because of their bravery and their royal background. Radhasoami Dayal preferred to hide himself, did not reveal his exalted position to others because Surat (the pure spirit) works secretly and it is no surprise that Malik, the Supreme Master, worked confidentially. The faith of Rama and Krishna was largely concerned with the world (Pravrutti), i.e. it was related to maintenance of the world and safeguarding its rules and regulations. Santmat focuses exclusively on the upliftment of living beings (Nivrutti). When Radhasoami Dayal came to this world, He granted special spiritual power to people and the ones specially blessed are increasing it through their own spiritual practice. How can the great fortune of those who were with Radhasoami Dayal and had the opportunity to see him be appreciated! If they could recall that time, meditate on His form, repeat the Name and mentally process the discourses, it would be more beneficial than doing Bhajan (listening to the internal sound).
